Learn more about Wayne Edmonds.
Wayne has more than thirty years experience in the counseling/mental health field, including the past ten years as a Clinical Case Manager and Clinical Services Supervisor for Manitowoc County. Wayne assisted with overseeing both CSP (Community Support Program) and Integrated Services (Mental Health Outpatient and Substance Use programs). This enabled him to provide comprehensive services to his clients by utilizing various community resources in addition to individual counseling and support.
Wayne has a strong background working with persons with serious and persistent mental illnesses, who also have co-occurring issues. Wayne primarily uses a person-centered therapeutic approach along with Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He understands the magnitude of trauma related illnesses and has also encountered this dynamic within treatment practice.
Through careful assessment, Wayne works with his clients within their capabilities and will provide a variety of resources to manufacture coping strategies which are most effective for client utilization.
Wayne focuses primarily on individual therapy but with family when necessary to achieve optimum client stability. He utilizes a comprehensive approach by making use of community resources and understanding the need to address other issues besides cognitive therapeutic practice.
In his spare time, Wayne enjoys occasional travel and relaxing at home watching football and basketball. Wayne loves ’70s jazz, Reggae, R&B, and rock and roll music.
