Vanessa earned an Associates in Arts from MATC-Mequon, then earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from UW-Milwaukee, followed by a Master of Science in Education from Concordia University-Mequon.

Vanessa practices from an Integrative Therapy approach as she believes techniques from multiple therapeutic orientations are flexible, most effective, and best treat and address a client’s unique problem/s.

As a counselor, Vanessa believes her purpose is to help one focus and to better understand their psychological well-being, increase self-awareness, overcome life challenges, obtain and maintain boundaries for a healthier future, learn and utilize coping strategies, and meet goals in life.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family, dogs and friends. Vanessa is greatly driven by her spirituality and faith. Her hobbies/interests include painting and drawing, putting puzzles together and learning about the study of forensic psychiatry/psychology, criminology and mental health medications. Vanessa’s goal in life is to become a forensic psychiatrist or forensic psychologist.
