Learn more about Melissa Charles.

Melissa received her Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Social Work with a Clinical Emphasis. She has a wide range of experience working with children, addressing mental health concerns, and advocating for individuals in trauma-focused situations.

“Seeking support is a courageous step, and my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, care, and the science-backed tools you need to feel better and build the life you want. If you’re ready to begin your journey, I’d be honored to walk with you.”

Melissa works with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of mental health concerns and life challenges. Whether you’re facing overwhelming emotions, navigating a difficult season in your life, or trying to heal from past pain, she offers a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen and supported.

For couples, Melissa uses the research-based Gottman Method to help strengthen emotional and physical intimacy, improve communication, and rebuild trust. Whether you’re in crisis or simply want to deepen your connection, you will work together with Melissa to help you strengthen your emotional and physical intimacy through positive relationship-building techniques.

As a trauma-informed therapist trained in EMDR, CBT, Somatic Therapy, Play therapy, and Art therapy, Melissa tailors the work to your unique needs—whether you’re healing from abuse, recovering from loss, or simply feeling stuck. Her goal is to support you in a down-to-earth way, with understanding and care to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered to find peace and achieve your goals.
