Phoenix Behavioral Health Services, In-Home ABA Program
Phoenix Behavioral Health Services provides intensive ABA therapy in your child’s natural environment. Our trained clinical staff work with you and your family to set up a program based on the specific needs of your child. We tailor each program to be as successful as possible for your family.
This process will start when you contact our Program Coordinator who will send out our pre-assessment paperwork to be filled out and returned. The paperwork will be reviewed by intake team. Once the intake paperwork is returned an intake interview, which takes place in your home, will be set up with one of our highly trained Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and our Intake and Training Coordinator.
Based on information gathered at the intake interview and the results of the various assessments used during the intake process an individualized plan of care will be written up for your child. Once the plan has been finalized and approved a team is trained to work in a one-on-one setting with your child. We always tell our families that our first goal of therapy is to get your child to like us. We want them to look forward to our staff’s arrival.
Our teams are made up of 3-5 technicians so that your child learns to work with a variety of people and generalize the skills that they are learning. Sessions are 2-3 hours in length and depending on the age of your child there will be 2-3 sessions per day. Research has shown that 30-40 hours of therapy per week show the best long term results. Phoenix Behavioral Health recommends this amount of therapy for all clients that are not if full time school. For elementary aged clients we recommend a minimum of 10-15 hours per week.
Assessments used by our BCBAs include:
- PEAK Relational Training System
- Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP)
- Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS)
- Assessment of Functional Learning Skills (AFLS)
