Phoenix Behavioral Health Services Autism Evaluation and Diagnosis
Phoenix Behavioral Health Services offers extensive evaluations and diagnostic testing for children of all ages. We are typically able to schedule an appointment within a month to answer questions and concerns that you may have about your child’s skills and development level.
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Eiden has provided autism evaluations for well over 700 families throughout Wisconsin. He takes time to ask you questions about your child and to answer any questions you may have.
Dr. Eiden and his staff use the following tools to assess and diagnose autism:
- Parent Interview to gather information about your child
- Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R)
- Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2 (ADOS-2)
- Childhood Autism Rating Scale – 2nd edition (CARS-2)
These assessments are completed through observations during play-based interactions with your child. Dr. Eiden then compiles the scores received to determine whether your child meets the DSM-V criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. He will also determine whether or not your child would benefit from ABA therapy. If your child already has a diagnosis and you choose to pursue in-home therapy services through Phoenix, our Program Coordinator will work with you to set up an Intake Evaluation for our in-home program. Referrals are not needed for diagnostic testing or our in home program.
